Waiting for the Ferryman by Geoffrey Waring
I wrote theses stories between 2005 and 2012, drawing on fifty years travelling and working as an expat all over the world. In them I explore human nature in all its variety, and in many different settings.
The collection opens with a novella set in the Arabian Gulf and the following eleven stories take the reader from an American penitentiary, to New Zealand's Southern Alps, and from a British airport where a violin case attracts attention to a Pacific island where an old fighter pilot flies his last patrol.
